Hotel + Garden
Zeeshan Aziz
The hotel and garden as imagined in this proposal are both a private shed and public monument located between the city and the sea on the peninsula of port Alexandria in Egypt. From the interior the hotel offers different views overlooking the city, the garden and the restless waves of the Mediterranean. From the exterior the building is perceived as a stamp with its strangely symmetric facade. The garden wall follows the traces of the place, with the quality of protecting, framing and leading. A carpet of local flora is spread in an irregular form, contemplated with freestanding chairs and a pavilion, intending to create a canvas for interaction between locals and tourists.
